Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Transaction Advisory?
Often referred to as a Business Intermediary; putting it plainly, we facilitate the sale of businesses. Our primary role encompasses sell side representation of privately held businesses, exit planning, "Go-To-Market" preparation, negotiating and structuring the sales from beginning to end.

We are charged with understanding the client's objectives for divesting and to carefully customize an exit strategy that will maximize their equity while obtaining their objective.

Sellers do not hire us to create a nice package. They do not hire us to bring them buyers. They hire us to get the transaction to the finish line.

What Transaction Advisory is not.

We are not real estate agents, although some Advisors in our industry do hold a commercial or residential real estate license. What we do is infinitely more sophisticated and complicated than real estate, thus, our fees are commensurate with the responsibility.

We are not stock brokers, although some Advisors do hold securities licensing.

We are not CPAs or Attorneys. We do not take on a fiduciary role in those terms.

Can you describe the industry? What can I expect?

This is a very exciting and dynamic industry with new challenges daily. Successful business owners tend to be hard nose, direct, confident and sometimes arrogant. They are used to directing, giving orders and making things happen. People considering a career in this industry must understand who they are dealing with and possess a penchant for negotiating and must have the ability to pacify the strongest of personalities, while maintaining control and direction of the case.

Is this straight commission?

Yes! Successful Transaction Brokers are confident and accomplished individuals who have a track history of success. They understand the risk/reward relationship and are confident in their ability to consummate transactions. The majority of our industry is on straight commission.

What makes Trinity different?

No one, and we mean no one, prepares a business to go to market better than Trinity. The difference is so great that there is no comparison between us and the competition.

Additionally, there are few firms who understand how to negotiate and structure a deal as well. That is why our transaction team has a closing rate nearly five times greater than the industry average.

How would I get my leads?
Leads are critical in any sales environment. Transaction Advisory is no different. What separates us from other brokerages is you will be provided with potential clients who have already intimated a desire to sell and a desire to meet with someone concerning the sales process. The leads will be derived from a myriad of ways, all with one thing in mind, keeping you in front of quality prospects.

How much can I expect to make?

This is truly an industry where you earn your potential. If you are a seasoned business professional with a track history of making things happen, you could be rewarded handsomely. Historically, Transaction Advisors are high 6 figure wage earners. Top brokers in the industry typically will make in excess of $300k per year.

Who are your competitors?
There is no direct competitor that frames their clients' businesses the way we do or prepares a business to go to market as well as Trinity. Most of the industry brokers are independent sole practitioners with little or no formal training, who work from home, with no direct lead generator, use inadequate tools, and come from all walks of life.
